Coloring Away the Noise

“Out of difficulties grow miracles.”
— Jean de la Bruyère

To date my coloring book, Calming the Noise, is still my most popular. It has exceeded my expectations and still continues to sell pretty well. I thought today I’d share a little story behind its inspiration.

Back in 2020 during Covid lockdown I began sketching in my sketchbook daily as a way for me to tune out the chaos in the world. Honestly I was scared and so were many others. I found that sketching in my sketchbook was very calming to me.

One day I had an idea. I thought if my Cubist line drawings were helping me, maybe I could find a way to use my art to help others find a sense of peace. I decided to release a free downloadable five page coloring bundle to my followers. Many people really enjoyed them and expressed they would love to see a full coloring book of my illustrations. This is how, Calming the Noise was born.

I spent the next year and half slowly working on creating my coloring book. Finally in late 2021 it was finished and ready to be shared with the world. To my surprise it was a success. I’ve received countless messages from people expressing their love for my book. My favorite part is when people share their finished coloring pages with me.

This book was meant to be part of a larger collection of books. I had always envisioned a series of three. Coming this November or early December book 2 will be released. It’s titled, “Calming the Mind.” I’ve been working on it behind the scenes while on hiatus from social media. I hope you’ll like it.

Calming the Noise is an adult coloring book featuring 30 beautiful hand-drawn designs.
